At the launch, Gutenberg plugin got a lot of negative reviews but now things are different. More and more people are showing love for Gutenberg as it has made a solid integration within WordPress. With the next major release in Dec 2020, blocks editor should become richer. Changing fortunes and perceptions, right?

What’s Buzzing in WordPress 💖

  • Plugin Focus… Easy Plugin Demo plugin automates the process of creating a sandbox for your themes, plugins, and content (requires multisite). Daniel Post is launching social image generator plugin, which looks interesting and could be a real time-saver.
  • Dev Focus… DebugPress is a new free plugin for debugging WordPress powered websites. Also, check insights into the best setup for development on a local WordPress environment.

If you have been embedding Facebook or Instagram posts in the WordPress posts, like by directly adding their URLs. Well, time to re-visit them as the default oEmbed for Facebook and Instagram won’t work from Oct 24, 2020 on WordPress.
