- Big Pricing Change… for Elementor users has been announced with the agency plan pricing reduced to $399/year from $999/year. The studio plan has been removed, and those users will get the agency plan at $399/year. While the essential plan pricing will go up to $59/year (existing $49/year) from Dec 01, 2022, existing users will be able to renew at the old pricing.
- A Big Makeover… of the back end of Divi is coming, as announced by Nick Roach. The Divi 5.0 release will be a rewrite of Divi’s core technologies, migrating away from shortcodes and towards a more modern storage format. It will also allow the seamless transition from Divi 4 and focus on performance.
- New WooCommerce Blocks… have been added to the WooCommerce 7.1 update in the form of header and footer patterns. Also, the cross-sell feature on the cart block is now available, allowing you to display ‘linked’ products on the cart page when customers select the specific product(s).
- New Releases & Updates… check two new WordPress themes based on the Fresh framework, now open-sourced and ready for use in the headless WordPress setup. Also, the WPCompress v6 update has added a brand new user interface with features like generating critical CSS, delaying unnecessary JavaScript files, and more.
- WordPress 6.1.1 update… is scheduled to be released on Nov 15, 2022, before things go a little quiet courtesy of the upcoming holiday season. Also, WordPress 6.1.1 Release Candidate 1 (RC1) is now available for your testing which features 28 fixes on Core and 18 fixes for the Block Editor.
