What’s Buzzing in WordPress 💖

  • New Launches… if you use the block editor for writing post content (like me), then the quick post plugin by Aurooba should come real handy as it adds a button to create a new post within the block editor. Also, there is a new podcast in the WordPress ecosystem, checkout The Kadence Beat podcast hosted by Ben Ritner, Hannah Ritner, and Kathy Zant – two episodes are already there.
  • Definitely Got Noticed… going firm on its own path, Elementor has formally launched the clould website plan that gives you Elementor Pro plugin along with managed hosting powered by Google platform for $99 per year. While many have tried this hosted route before, Elementor seems better placed for such an offering. Here is a detailed video review by Imran over at Web Squadron.
  • Product Updates… WP Swift Control plugin that allows easier access to functions within the dashboard has rebranded into Better Admin Bar – definitely a more meaningful name for what this plugin does. Also, Groundhogg 2.6 update has introduced all new user interface for the new contact record screen which is API powered and hence changes take effect instantly.
