  • Cool WP Stuff… Igor Benić has released the NewsletterGate plugin that allows you to sell courses and free ebook downloads with the power of Lemon Squeezy and ConvertKit platforms. While Pascal Birchler has created a very interesting looking periodic table of WordPress Plugins to celebrate the 20th anniversary of WordPress.
  • Block Editor Goodies… Mike McAlister has released a very neat looking WordPress block based Ollie theme available for free download. While Benjamin Intal, the founder of the Stackable plugin, has launched the new WPBlockTips website sharing tips about the WordPress Block Editor and more.
  • WP Niche Projects… Michelle Frechette has launched the WP Speakers project to facilitate the search to find speakers for your WordPress Events, and 100+ speakers are already listed! While Remkus de Vries has launched the Within WordPress (video) podcast, the first three episodes of this podcast are already available, featuring: Jonny Harris, Till Krüss, and Matt Medeiros.

  1. Plugin Service & On Sale… the team at the Patchstack has launched a 100% free service for all WordPress plugin developers/owners to make their plugins more secure (and more trustworthy). While David Vongries has paused the Kirki project development and is looking for a buyer with an asking price of $30,000 (negotiable).
  2. Page Builder Updates… Bricks 1.8 (beta) version (April 26, 2023) has added new menu builder functionality allowing you to build fully customizable, accessible desktop and mobile menus. While Builderius users can check this video to know how components can be used on a simple example, building a site header modularly using nested components.
  3. Product Updates… Divi Cloud has expanded to include Theme Option Presets feature to existing asset libraries of theme layouts and theme builder templates. Also, Pods 3.0 Beta 1 is now available with Conditional Logic for Fields allowing you to show or hide a field based on the value of another field.
  4. Core Updates… check the latest status update on the WP Feature Notifications project to improve the way in which WordPress handles user notifications. Also, WooCommerce Blocks 10.1.0 is now available for download featuring theme-level global styles for Cart and Checkout blocks.
  5. WP Milestones… the TutorLMS plugin from Themeum has achieved 70,000+ active installs milestone. While the Atarim’s Web Agency Summit this week had a record breaking 10,000+ attendees – for sure breaking the glass ceiling in the WordPress and agency space.
  6. WordPress Ecosystem… for the 2nd year in a row, Automattic has achieved certification as a ‘Most Loved Workplace’. Also, WordPress (.)com is giving up on Twitter API – From May 01, 2023, you will no longer be able to share your WordPress (.)com website posts automatically to Twitter using the Jetpack Social plugin.
