- Looking for New Contributors… Incident Response Team (IRT), which is tasked to provide a clear channel for community members to report and address incidents that may violate the WordPress Community Code of Conduct, is looking for new contributors – applications are open until July 6, 2025.
- Running Hosting Tests… based on the received feedback, Hosting Team has a proposal for the development of a service that simplifies and automates the process of preparing and executing the hosting tests. The proposed solution is to create an automated service that prepares and runs the hosting test suite on behalf of a user.
- Accessibility in Docs… Rian Rietveld shared the result of 57 respondents for the accessibility in docs survey. “The results of the survey make clear that the accessibility team’s handbook contains too much information, making it hard to find the right information”.
- WooCommerce 10.0 Upcoming… WooCommerce 10.0v is scheduled for release on July 7, 2025. This brings many new changes like front-end accessibility updates, shareable checkout URLs, simplified cart block totals, checkout Block loading indicators, and more.

Plugin Overhaul… the team at Kestrel has overhauled the Amazon S3 Storage for WooCommerce plugin for a fresh start. The plugin was rewritten with the AWS SDK to clean up years of tech debt and make it faster and easier to support.
