Anne McCarthy responded, “Let’s get some devs to review what you have in place, determine what might conflict and what might be compatible, and go from there”.
- WordPress com + MCP… WordPress .com now supports MCP (Model Context Protocol), enabling you to do things faster. Rather than clicking through within the dashboard, you can ask an AI assistant like Claude, ChatGPT, or Cursor and get answers quickly. Like, ‘Show me my latest posts and how they’re performing’.
- WooCommerce Schedule… WooCommerce 10.4 release has been adjusted with a two-week delay to push the 10.4 release away from Black Friday / Cyber Monday – now scheduled for December 9, 2025 (previously November 24, 2025). However, the WooCommerce 10.3 release is on schedule for Tuesday, October 21, 2025.
- Core Recap… Jb Audras shared the September 2025 recap of the WordPress core activities. The WordPress Core team shipped 189 commits (+16 compared to last month). People from at least 27 countries contributed to WordPress Core, with top 5: USA, India, Russia, Spain, and Australia.
- Gutenberg Update… Carlos Bravo shared about the Gutenberg 21.8v update, which introduces the first UI for Block Visibility, allowing you to hide blocks directly in the editor. The Time To Read block now includes range and word count options.
Big Updates: Bricks Builder & ACF Blocks
New Bricks Release… Bricks 2.1v is out of beta and now available for all users. This version brings many new features like Bricks components as blocks, wireframes & design sets, global queries & query manager, query data from APIs, create & update posts via frontend forms, and a fluid typography generator.
Big ACF Blocks Update… version 3 release of ACF Blocks promises to be a major step forward for creating and managing custom blocks with ACF. It brings a better editing experience and lays down the foundation for upcoming features like the ‘Inline Editing’ of block data directly in the preview.
New Updates: WS Form, Ottokit, & SeedProd AI
WS Form + Variables… 1.10.59v has Google’s new Places API supported for the Google Address field. Also, more post variables were added: post_date_modified, post_time_modified, post_date_modified_custom, and post_parent variables.
Ottokit + Multilingual… now you can use OttoKit in multiple languages besides English. You can switch the entire interface to a different language, like Spanish, French, Portuguese, and Russian – from the dashboard top bar menu.
