- Website Specification… Joost de Valk shared (Links X) about the new website specification project, which lists technical features every decent website should have. This open-source project with MIT license covers: Foundations, SEO, Accessibility, Security, Well-Known URIs, Agent Readiness, Performance, Privacy, and more.
- WordPress Link Audits… Maciej Bis has released WPLIA for internal links, promising WordPress link audits without the bloat. It scans your WordPress website’s database directly to extract internal and external links, count them, and flag orphan pages. Also, it runs directly on your server, with no crawlers, tokens, or subscriptions.
- PDF Generator for WordPress… Sanjeev from ThemeGrill shared the PDFDraft plugin, a PDF Generator for WordPress. Angie + Super Admin Mode… Angie from the Elementor team has introduced the super admin mode, which gives elevated access to your WordPress installation. When activated, Angie can read and write to the file system, query the database, execute PHP, access WordPress logs, interact with active plugins, and perform operations that would otherwise require WP-CLI, or direct server access.
SproutOS… Sagar Patel shared (LinkedIn) about the release of SproutOS, bringing AI powers to your WordPress website. This free open-source solution allows you to connect any AI agent directly to your website via MCP. Run PHP, access the database, manage files, call any plugin API.

- WordPress at 23… WordPress is celebrating 23 years milestone. Matt Mullenweg shared, “I’m really proud of the capability and security of WordPress, and we should celebrate that. That accomplishment represents the work of thousands and thousands of people coming together to make the web a better place. Also, an iceberg of what is going on behind the scenes”.
- Matt Says, Let’s move on… Matt Mullenweg highlighted the on-going WP Engine vs Automattic, “You have so much money and power, you just got TikTok, the Trump administration loves you, you don’t need to control and take over WordPress, too. If you win, you destroy it, and then what? Please have mercy and stop trying to ruin people’s lives. Let’s move on”.
- SiteGround Auto Installs AI Plugin… ‘AI Agent by SiteGround’ plugin was auto installed on WordPress websites hosted on the SiteGround hosting. This did not go well with users of SiteGround, and reports of websites crashing due to that. Check the WordPress Org Reviews and this Reddit thread for more on this on-going issue.
- Official WP Browser Extension… to prevent the Admin Bar from affecting front-end viewing, the official WordPress Browser Extension (GitHub) project is in the works for Chrome and Safari users. This extension detects a WordPress website, and it displays a quick access to edit pages/posts, wp-admin, one-click log out, and a new content menu (post, page, media, and user).
- New Career Functionality on WP Org… jobs .wordpress .net got a refreshed design, and WordPress Org profile gets new fields for job history, key accomplishments, and a ‘looking for jobs’ toggle, so a contributor’s profile can double as a lightweight candidate page. - Open Horizons Scholarship… was launched in May 2025, with the goal of helping WordPress contributors get to the events. Through this, six recipients made it to WordCamp US 2025 in Portland – coming from Malaysia, Guatemala, India, Costa Rica, and across the United States. WooCommerce Update & WP Core Buzz
WooCommerce Update… 10.8.0v was released on May 26, 2026, and includes fifteen pull requests aligning WooCommerce’s admin with the new WordPress 7.0 styling. Also, the WooCommerce admin now shows a banner when your web browser loses its connection.

SureForms + Style Presets… 2.10v update has introduced built-in themes and custom presets, along with three built-in presets: Minimal, Thin, and Dark. Also, an HTML form importer that converts any raw HTML form into SureForm complete with proper fields, labels, and structure.
WPForms + Smart Edit… 1.10.1v has introduced smart edit with AI feature, allowing you to edit any existing form using plain, conversational language from a chat box right inside the form builder. Also added Entry Importer, enabling you to add form entries into WPForms from a CSV file or from another WordPress form plugin.

IvyForms + Big Update… Alexander Gilmanov shared (LinkedIn) 1.0v of IvyForms plugin – now providing full form-building functionality for WordPress for free. It comes with form styling options, forms import and export, Elementor integration, lazy loading for templates, and more.
WPZOOM Forms + Major Rebuild… 2.0v of WPZOOM Forms brings a major rebuild with a dedicated drag-and-drop form builder, independent of the block editor, promising faster, more reliable, and free of editor/theme conflict. Also, a new searchable form template library to start from a ready-made layout.
