- WP Editorial Workflow Generator… Andrey Matveyev, the builder of PostMynd, has created a free WordPress Editorial Workflow Generator online tool. It creates a configurable seven-stage workflow with owners, approval gates, WordPress QA, exit criteria, and refresh tasks. Visitors can switch between solo, in-house, and agency teams; standard- and high-risk content; and manual or AI-assisted drafting. The result can be copied or downloaded as Markdown or CSV.

- WordPress + Open AI Models… WordPress has signed Open Weights and American AI Leadership, an open letter asking US policymakers to not place early restrictions on open weight AI models. “These are artificial intelligence models that anyone can download, inspect, modify, and run on their own infrastructure. The letter was published on July 24, 2026, and more than 270 companies and organizations have added their names”.
- Photo Directory + Importer… “Michelle Frechette had the brilliant idea of building a plugin to integrate the photos project into the WordPress media library”. Topher DeRosia and others created the Photo Directory Importer (GitHub) plugin at the Contributor Day, during WordCamp US 2026. Also, the new feature to display video testimonials on your site – the new Video field takes a YouTube link, a Vimeo link, a direct file URL, or an upload from your media library.
Activity Log Pro… 1.1.0v update has added compatibility for WordPress 7.1 release, and datadog site endpoints are now loaded dynamically from Datadog itself, instead of relying on a fixed list in the plugin. Also, excluded post types feature now support private or internal types.

WordPress Form Plugin Market Share 2026
The team at GravityKit analyzed the HTTP Archive data on the most used WordPress form plugins in 2026. “As of July 2026, Contact Form 7 is detected on 29.74% of WordPress sites in HTTP Archive’s sample. Gravity Forms is next at 3.53%, then WPForms at 2.43%, Fluent Forms at 1.09%, Formidable Forms at 0.88% and Ninja Forms at 0.45%”.
Contact Form 7’s share saw a drop like 39.06% in July 2022 to 29.74% in July 2026. Gravity Forms saw upward trend from 3.31% in July 2022 to 3.63% in March 2026. Fluent Forms is the one genuinely new thing in this dataset, detected on 30,824 WordPress sites, or 1.09%, placing it fourth behind Contact Form 7, Gravity Forms and WPForms.
